Sudbury Chess Club held another successful annual chess congress on Sunday 28th March at
Sudbury Town Hall. Run in association with Suffolk Junior Chess, the tournament attracted 60 players from across the

A Sad Loss for Sudbury Chess Club
After a short illness, Roy Byham died on 24th March. Roy had a friendly outlook to life
and was a true gentleman. He had been a keen member of Sudbury Chess Club for a number of years and was a regular player
in the Suffolk league. He will be missed by his many friends at the Club, in the League and in Sudbury Town. (24/03/04)

Rob Sanders and Phil Chapman attended the Suffolk County Chess Association fixtures
meeting on Thursday 11th Sept at the Ipswich Chess Club, where A and B Team match dates were fixed. (16/09/03)

Rob Sanders is Suffolk County Player Of The Year for the second year running. This honour
